I havent been playing all that much with the new material...but I made a Cold/Ice Defender yesterday and I got him to lvl 5 and headed to the Hollows...you know, the usual.

I was walking around right in front of the cops, more specifically to the left as you walk in the zone, second building on the left...anyways. I see this lady calling for help...so me, being the stand up guy I am, run over to see what the problem is.

This Biatch....sorry, couldnt think of a better word, makes fun of me for "falling for it" and runs off, and two Skull Death Head Gunners run out of the building and attack me.

I took care of them, rather easily I thought for being a defender, but I have never seen this tactic in PvE...is this new with the updated Hollows or is this throughout the game? I have never seen such trickery out in the middle of a zone like that...

Yeah, I had a lowbie in the Hollows a few weeks back and heard one of those NPCs as I was running by. I had to do a double-take. "Wait, what was that? That's new."

I ran into a few of those. Some are bait to lure you in for an attack. Some are actually citizens in need of help that reward you with little influence bonuses.

Very cool addition. It's a nice touch.

Yeah in addition to the new gangs roaming the Hollows I also discovered that the Legacy Chain has moved into the southern most portion of the zone and is battling the Circle of Thorns there. First time I discovered it I was picking up the history plague close to the Skyway gate and discovered numerous COT thorns battling the Legacy forces which are non-target NPCs (you can attack and defeat the COT forces of course). last time in I did a sweep and scattered throughout the area here are small groups of COT and LC doing battle. I found it amusing that they will stand there at a distance from one another doing nothing until you get close enough and then attack each other! Laughing

And yes I have heard the distress cries as I was moving around up north near Dave Wincott. First I have heard of the ambushes though ... LOL sort of neat when you think about it Unless of course you're the hapless 5 level that gets ambushed and defeated but at that level your still not accumulating debt so I guess its all in fun. Very Happy

I haven't been to the Hollows in some time... sounds cool.

I always thought the Freakshow's "Help... man down!" scam was cute.
